My Mind's Eye: Experiencing and Responding to Literature

I teach Child and Young Adult Literature at a small liberal arts college in the Midwest. I encourage my students to not simply read books, but experience them. Respond to them. I've realized that to teach better I must also stretch myself to do the same. So that is what this blog is about, stretching myself to experience the books that I read. The title "My Mind's Eye" is an intentional challenge for myself to reflect and articulate my own imagination.
